GKV is a friendly cycling club based in Glossop, on the edge of the Peak District.
New members are always welcome and we cater for a wide range of abilities. Although we are primarily a road cycling club members also partake in Mountain Biking, Cyclo-Cross, Track riding and even Triathlons. Details of club rides are posted on Yahoo! Groups please join the group to find out more.
We have an active youth section for riders under the age of 16. The club has achieved Go-Ride clubmark accreditation ensuring that children and young people can participate and learn about cycling and cycle sport in a fun and safe environment. The Club runs an open 25 mile time trial, a summer Time Trail Series, the annual Snake Pass Hill Climb, an Autumn Hill Climb Series up Holme Moss and on May 12th 2013 we will be promoting our first Sportive The High Peak Hog.
